[dropcap4]C[/dropcap4]on l’anteprima del collettivo Sbagliato sulle due facciate della “Scuola Elementare Virgilio” in V.le Battaglione Alpini e sulla torretta Enel di Corso Italia, il 18 aprile 2012 inaugura “Memorie Urbane”. Poco dopo Gaeta vede all’opera Agostino Iacurci, Escif, Sten & Lex, Teresa Orazio. Ognuno di loro realizza due interventi: un’opera temporanea su un cartellone pubblicitario 6×3 e una permanente sui muri della città scelti in collaborazione con l’Amministrazione Comunale. L’intervento artistico sui cartelloni pubblicitari, visibili per 20 giorni al pari delle pubblicità, vuole porre l’accento sull’assuefazione agli stimoli visivi commerciali commutandoli invece in input creativi.

Le opere murarie, invece, sono consegnate permanentemente alla città in quanto azioni creative e riqualificanti su architetture preesistenti. Il progetto ha previsto due azioni collaterali: la proiezione del film cult di Banksy “Exit through to the Gift Shop” e la mostra “Vandalism” presso la “Memorie Con.Temporary Gallery” di Gaeta. Quest’ultima precedentemente esposta dalla 999Contemporary di Roma ha presentato stampe e poster di alcuni degli artisti più significativi del movimento street ed urban a livello mondiale: Banksy, Obey, Space Invader, Mr Brainwash, Slinkachu e Ben Eine.
